Minting your works on other blockchains, most notably Solana or Tezos, is much cheaper because they provide higher throughput than Ethereum and are less popular than Ethereum.
However, we find that while Solana, Polygon and Tezos have a lot of NFTs on their platform, they represent a fraction of sales across multiple blockchains.
On platforms like Tezos and Polygon, the price of an average NFT seems to be a fraction of ETH, allowing photographers to sell photos in the range of $1-20 (compared to $100-1,000 on Ethereum).
For some collectors, having a very different pricing points ($5 on Tezos vs $200 on Ethereum, as an example) discourages them from collecting from this creator altogether. Ultimately, the choice is with the creator.
